About Lancashire Local

Our mission is to expand the reach of Lancashire businesses online. We champion Lancashire businesses with our online marketplace of fantastic Lancashire products. We promote Lancashire businesses, retail their products through our site, and sell hampers of great Lancashire tastes! During, and in the wake of, the Covid-19 pandemic the strength of our local economy has become more important. That's why we have set out to expand the reach of local businesses by increasing their presence online. We hope our customers will discover new products and businesses and then either seek them out in shops or order more online.

The Founder

Lancashire Local was started by a young Lancastrian entrepreneur. Joe (pictured right) was born and educated in Lancashire before going to Loughborough University to study Management Sciences. After graduating into the Covid economy in the Summer of 2020, Joe’s plans of travelling and working in the USA were put on hold. So, coming from a family of Lancastrian entrepreneurs, he decided to combine his degree with his genetic heritage and launch his own venture.


The Covid-19 lockdown meant more people were staying inside and shopping online and as a result local producers were seeing reduced trade in farmers' markets.
Joe initially launched the venture to subscribe people to monthly boxes of a variety of Lancashire products. This soon developed into an online shop of Lancashire products as Joe realised he could better champion Lancashire businesses by combining his business degree and love for number crunching with his new found e-commerce and digital marketing skills.

The plan is to add many more suppliers to the site to both broaden the selection on offer and develop a more diverse range of products. If people want locally sourced products, Lancashire Local is the place to come!
